Pininfarina gives glimpse of FP0 hypercar's sci-fi cabin

Italian stylist turned car-maker teases the futuristic interior of its pure-electric rival for the Bugatti Chiron

Automobili Pininfarina has released new images showing how the futuristic interior of its 2020 Pininfarina PF0 electric hypercar is shaping up ahead of its launch next week at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in California.

Pininfarina promises the PFO will be the "most powerful Italian sports car ever" when it goes on sale in two years’ time.

So far the former Ferrari stylist has teased two pictures of the sleek-looking futuristic hypercar and now it's decided to show off its sci-fi-inspired cabin that is both minimalist and incorporates state-of-the art tech.

Just two buttons are visible in the latest teaser images -- one to adjust the driving modes (on the left) and other on the right to select gears.

There are two large screens flanking an angular-shaped steering wheel, while a third info display lurks directly in front of the driver's line of sight, projecting a '325km/h' speed reading. Above it, a small arrow provides route guidance.

It's not known if the two larger infotainment screens will rely on touch, gesture or natural voice control to operate them.

Look closer at the left screen and some are suggesting the image projected is actually yet another teaser of a rear three-quarter view of the concept that will be shown at Pebble Beach.

Other details revealed in this latest cabin teaser include a blend of carbon-fibre and leather, plus red LED ambient lighting.

Thanks to its electric motor's blistering power output, the concept car set to be revealed in Monterey will boast some truly incredible performance.

Automobili Pininfarina has already claimed the production PF0 will hit 100km/h in less than two seconds and have a top speed in excess of 400km/h.

As well as being fast in a straight line, the Mahindra-owned hypercar maker's first car will also have a range of around 500km on a single charge, claims the company.

Helping co-develop Pininfarina's pure-electric powertrain is Croatian electric hypercar maker, Rimac.

Pininfarina says it will make just 150 cars and pricing is expected to run into seven figures.
