Plus One package for 1 Series

BMW has bundled some of its more popular 1 Series extras and offered them in a new option package.

The new 'Plus One' package is offered at a cost of $2200 on 118i, 120i and 120d models and includes a 30gig iPod and BMW car connector kit.

For the 95 kW 2.0-litre four-cylinder 118i, in addition to the iPod, the 'Plus One' package adds Boston leather seat upholstery, 17-inch star spoke alloy wheels, cruise control, metallic paint, and colour coding for door handles, roof mouldings and rubbing strips.

For the 120i and 120d, the “Plus One” package adds Boston leather seat upholstery, 17-inch star spoke light alloy wheels, Bluetooth phone preparation, metallic paint, rear Park Distance Control and the iPod package.

In other 1 Series changes, all new 116i and 118i models will come equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard. Previously the entry-level 1s featured a five-speed manual gearbox.
