The covers have come off the first Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe – the fifth version of the German sports car maker’s new large coupe-style SUV family.
Due to land in Australian showrooms from October priced at $151,600 (plus on-road costs), the Cayenne E-Hybrid represents a $15,000 premium on its equivalent conventionally shaped sibling.
The E-Hybrid marks the second hybridised Cayenne Coupe model in Australia, joining the $292,700 Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe launched last year.
The 2020 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe combines a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol V6 engine with a 100kW electric motor to deliver overall outputs of 340kW and 700Nm.
Nought to 100km/h officially takes 5.1 seconds.
The German car-maker is yet to provide a combined fuel efficiency rating, however, the existing Cayenne E-Hybrid claims a 3.6L/100km rating.
What’s more, the existing Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid is the only hybrid PHEV on sale in Australia that’ll tow a maximum (braked) 3500kg.
The Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe will include as standard: Surround View, Privacy Glass, Auto-dimming exterior and interior mirrors, rear side airbags, Lane Change Assist, Comfort Access, Head-Up Display, Driver Memory Package and DAB+ digital radio.
