As with any new model launch, prices have risen for most models, although the importer stresses that the increases are offset by spec changes across the board.
As the entry-level model in the range, the Cayenne Diesel has risen $4100 to $104,700, but the specification now features bi-xenon headlights and tyre pressure monitoring – both of which are now standard across the updated model range – and 19-inch alloy wheels and electrochromatic mirrors (including the exterior mirrors) specified additionally for the Aussie market.
Both the Cayenne S and Cayenne S Diesel have risen $1400 – to $139,900 for the petrol model and $143,200 for the diesel. Australian-delivered models are now equipped as standard with 20-inch alloys, metallic paint, electric sunroof, Porsche Dynamic Light System and heated front seats.
The new plug-in hybrid variant – the Cayenne S E-Hybrid – replacing the previous hybrid Cayenne, is priced at $139,200. That's $10,700 less than the price for the previous hybrid model, and $700 less than the petrol Cayenne S. Porsche advises that the price reduction is a consequence of sharing drivetrain technology with the Panamera S E-Hybrid. The plug-in Cayenne also enjoys the same equipment upgrade as the petrol and diesel S models.
As the flagship of the range, the Cayenne Turbo is now $9200 more expensive, but offers a performance upgrade (14kW and 50Nm extra for 382kW/750Nm), 20-inch RS Spyder alloys, integrated wheel arch extensions and LED headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System as standard.
The official launch date for the new range is November 8.
