Less than a week after the first report suggesting an all-new Porsche flagship SUV is in the works, renders of the mysterious three-row model have emerged.
While Porsche is yet to officially confirm the existence of the new SUV, independent designers have set to work imagining what a bigger brother to the Porsche Cayenne could look like, with one of the first sets of images coming via Russian motoring outlet Kolesa.
Despite claims from dealer sources that the new full-size SUV would be “very un-Porsche-like” in its styling with a “flat rear design”, the Kolesa renders have been heavily inspired by the current Porsche Cayenne with a few smatterings of Taycan Cross Turismo in its front fascia.
Predictably longer and seemingly lower than the Cayenne, the rear-end of the SUV shown here features the full-width brake strip present on most current Porsche models.
The entire package is finished off by a set of aero-optimised five-spoke alloy wheels, referencing early reports that suggested a plug-in hybrid and possibly even a battery-electric powertrain will be used in the new model.
If a flagship SUV does emerge in the next few years, it will hand Porsche a rival for the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS.
