Porsche has revealed a limited-edition range of Panamera limousines ahead of their world public debut next week and their Australian arrival by mid-2022.
Available in standard rear-wheel drive, all-wheel drive and hybrid forms, the 2022 Porsche Panamera Platinum Edition range brings a host of exclusive features for a small price premium.
Special touches include platinum-coloured 21-inch Exclusive Design Sport wheels (20-inch wheels are optional), black exhaust outlets, gloss-black side window garnishes and an exclusive tail-light design.
Platinum Edition models are further distinguished by platinum-coloured air-intake trims up front, along with platinum Porsche lettering at the rear and ‘e-hybrid’ badges for the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid.
Inside the cabin, all three Platinum Editions add heated rear seats, a GT sports steering wheel, black brushed-alloy dash inserts and kick panels with ‘Platinum Edition’ logos, plus the Porsche crest on the head restraint and an analogue clock atop the dash.
Pricing starts from $205,400 before on-road costs for the Panamera Platinum Edition, making it $2000 dearer than the 243kW V6-powered rear-wheel drive sedan on which it’s based.
Meanwhile, the AWD Porsche Panamera 4 Platinum Edition is priced from $214,700 (+$1000) and the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Platinum Edition is unchanged at $249,500 plus ORCs and continues to offer an on-board AC charger with 7.2kW of charging power.
All three Platinum models remain mechanically unchanged, with a carryover 2.9-litre twin-turbo petrol V6 under the bonnet.
Following a global premiere at the Los Angeles auto show on November 17, Aussie-bound examples of the Panamera Platinum Edition are due to arrive from the second quarter of 2022.
