Price increases looming for Ford Everest

Ford Ranger-based off-road wagon set to quietly follow its ute sibling up the price charts

Just as night follows day, Ford Australia has confirmed price increases are coming for its MY24 Ford Everest line-up less than a fortnight after detailing similar price hikes for the new model year Ford Ranger.

Due to come into effect for all unallocated orders as of August, the new prices will see the 2024 Ford Everest range start from $53,490 plus on-road costs for the entry-level Ambiente RWD and top out at $78,530 (plus ORCs and options) for the flagship Platinum, marking increases of $200 and $1000 respectively.

The mid-range Trend variants have each risen $400 – and as such will start from $60,990 plus ORCs – whereas the penultimate Sport’s price increase depends on the drivetrain: $200 for the RWD and $1000 for the 4x4.

As with the Ranger, Ford has confirmed there will be no specification changes between outgoing MY23.5 and inbound MY24 vehicles, saying the new premiums are the result of several “external factors”.

“The price adjustments are consistent with the evaluation of market conditions we regularly undertake across our product portfolio, which take into consideration a number of different external factors such as currency and material cost considerations,” a Ford spokesperson told carsales.

“Customers with a current order that has not been satisfied by MY23 or MY23.5 production will be given the option to cancel their order for a full refund or be allocated a MY24 vehicle at the new price.”

The MY24 price increase will be the second since the local launch of the second-generation Ford Everest – which continues to command wait times of between five and 18 months – in September last year, following minor price and spec updates announced in October.
