An upgraded, more expensive 2021 Hyundai Venue has been announced, bringing extra standard features and a $500 price hike across the small SUV range.
Available in showrooms from December, all versions of the updated Hyundai Venue will bring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a sliding centre console box as standard.
In addition, the entry-level Hyundai Venue – previously called the ‘Go’ – upgrades from steel to alloy 15-inch wheels, as well as premium cloth seat trim and heated door mirrors.
Hyundai’s all-new baby SUV was launched with a $19,990 starting price (plus on-road costs) in September 2019, before base pricing rose to $20,190 and now $20,690 plus ORCs ($2020 more for the auto).
For $22,620 plus ORCs ($24,640 for the auto; both up $500), the mid-range Hyundai Venue Active also scores premium seat bolsters, while the top-spec auto-only Elite variant ($26,490 plus ORCs) now gains a sunroof.
These extra MY21 features are in addition to July running changes including 17-inch alloys for the Active and smart key with push-button start for the Active.
There are no mechanical changes to Hyundai’s smallest SUV, which continues with a 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and continues to come with a four-star ANCAP safety rating, in part because its camera-based (not radar) autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system does not detect cyclists.
Like all Hyundai models, the Venue comes with a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty, roadside assist for 12 months and a lifetime service plan including free first service at 1500km. Customers who service their vehicle at a Hyundai dealer also receive a 10-year roadside assist and sat-nav upgrade plan.
