Pricing slashed for Fiat Ritmo Dynamic
Ateco has reduced prices for the entry-level variants of Fiat's small car and absorbed on-road costsThe local Fiat distributor, Ateco Automotive, has announced that the Ritmo Dynamic will be reduced in price by $5000 as part of short-term sales promotion. Furthermore, the distributor of Alfa Romeo, Citroen, Ferrari and Maserati -- as well as Fiat -- will cover the on-road costs as part of the deal.
Available with both the 1.4-litre 'Fire' four-cylinder petrol engine (formerly $24,990, now $19,990) or a 1.9-litre turbodiesel (previously $29,990, now $24,990), the Ritmo Dynamic is being offered at these prices for a limited period only. Ateco estimates that the 1.4-litre Ritmo represents a saving of $7500 if the on-road costs are included.
The distributor has not outlined a strategy to aid buyers who purchased the Ritmo Dynamic at the higher prices during the six months the car has been on sale in Australia. At the discounted prices, resale values for the small car will suffer -- and particularly for those buyers who purchased the vehicle at the higher prices.
