Proton appoints new dealer in Geelong

Already established as a multi-franchise dealer group in the Geelong area, the Brian Blood Group is now also a Proton dealer.

A new facility has been established at 491 Moorabool Street in the city centre to sell and support the Malaysian brand.

Dealer Principal, Peter Leach, says "We were attracted to Proton because of its great looking and well priced cars with fuel economy that makes them a very attractive proposition, particularly for commuters heading to Melbourne every day and also for rural buyers."

Proton's Managing Director, John Startari, citing increased fuel costs said "Many thousands of people make the daily trek to Melbourne and the 800km a week commute can take a large chunk out of family incomes."

Mr Startari sees Proton's range as offering a combination of practicality, style and -- most importantly -- low cost running for residents of Geelong and the city's hinterland.
