Two adventure-ready concept versions of the new Kia Seltos have been revealed at the Los Angeles motor show.
Both examples of the all-new small SUV are kitted out with a bunch of aftermarket extras, looking rugged and ready to tackle the great outdoors.
The Kia Seltos X-Line Trail Attack gets a 2.0-inch lift kit, bringing its total ground clearance to about 225mm, custom 17-inch black alloy wheels wrapped in off-road rubber and bright Hella lighting across the front bumper and roof.
Also hidden behind the front bar is a winch, while a custom roof rack basket sits atop the roof.
The Kia Seltos Urban concept also gets a 2.0-inch ride height increase and custom 17-inch wheels – this time in gold – plus roof racks and a little less extra lighting.
Under the bonnet, the concepts are powered by the same 130kW/265Nm 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine reserved for top-tier variants Down Under, again matched with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
While the tinted windows hide the concepts’ interiors, we’re guessing they’re fitted with the same 10.25-inch LCD infotainment screens with digital radio, smartphone mirroring and navigation.
The Korean car-maker’s first small SUV, the Kia Seltos is now on sale in Australia priced from $24,990 plus on-road costs – although the models we get here are nothing like these bad boys.
