Hyundai N has rolled out a new special edition i30 Sedan N to celebrate its stellar year in the TCR World Tour which ended with factory driver Norbert Michelisz taking the overall crown.
Dubbed the 2025 Hyundai Elantra N TCR Edition, the limited-run special will be known as the Hyundai i30 Sedan N TCR Edition if it’s offered Down Under, with Hyundai Australia confirming it’s “exploring options” to offer the model locally next year.
The TCR Edition draws plenty of inspiration from its racing counterpart, including a lightweight adjustable swan neck rear spoiler, lightweight 19-inch N TCR forged alloy wheels and beefy four-piston front calipers.
Other enhancements comprise an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel with a ‘Performance Blue’ 12-o’clock marker, blue seatbelts and ‘TCR Edition’.
Korean versions will also don a unique TCR-inspired decal set not currently earmarked for any other market.
No changes have been made to the Sedan N’s 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine beyond the addition of a cold air intake, nor have any changes been made to the familiar (six-speed) manual and (eight-speed) dual-clutch automatic transmissions.
Hyundai hasn’t made any weight-saving, downforce or stopping power claims for the TCR Edition’s upgrades, however it’s almost guaranteed tol cost more than the standard car which starts from $52,000 before on-roads.
As well as an impressive outing in the TCR World Tour, the i30 Sedan N also recently became the first model to win back-to-back TCR Australia titles in the hands of Josh Buchan who successfully defended his 2023 championship to retain the crown in 2024.
