Rally-inspired Ford Ranger Raptor Desert arrives

Ford Australia has revealed a limited-edition accessory kit for its rugged Ranger Raptor ute, with the stickered-up special edition Desert Pack available now in limited numbers.

Limited to just 500 units Down Under, the Desert Pack adds aftermarket accessories from ARB – unique sports bar and roof-mounted Nacho Quatro lamps. A set of four all-weather floor mats is also included.

But although the Desert Pack is available in limited numbers, Ford says the ARB-supplied lights and sports bar will be available as individual items through Ford dealers, once all 500 Desert Packs are sold out.

It also clarified the factory-fit roller cover isn’t compatible with the Desert Pack.

Meanwhile, customers can opt to have the sticker kit removed at no extra cost for more of a “stealth look”.

“The Ranger Raptor has proven itself in the toughest conditions imaginable, setting records at Finke in the Stock Class competition and demonstrating genuine, real-world, desert racing capability,"  Ford Australia marketing boss Ambrose Henderson said.

“The Desert Pack celebrates that racing heritage while delivering the authentic off-road enhancements that our most enthusiastic customers have been asking for.”

Ford says the Ranger Raptor Desert Pack is available to order through Ford dealers now, with production to begin this month, followed by first customer deliveries in the coming months.
