Rezvani has unveiled a tough new SUV which will sit below its current 520kW Beast supercar
Called the Tank, the US car maker's all-new SUV has been created to be the "toughest extreme utility vehicle on the planet", hence the options list boasts handy inclusions such as a full bulletproof body and a night vision system.
Propulsion comes from a 375kW 6.4-litre Hemi V8 which channels its power and torque to the road using on-demand all-wheel drive.
California-based Rezvani hasn't released performance figures for the Tank – but it's likely to be considerably slower than its carbon-fibre-bodied version of the Ariel Atom which, thanks to a 520kW twin-turbo 2.4-litre powerplant, hits 100km/h in a claimed 2.5 seconds.
It's not known if the new Tank is likewise a re-skinned version of an existing model as the only details released state that it comes with a rugged body-on-frame construction.
Inside there's space for five, with access to the rear of the SUV via a pair of rear-hinged 'suicide' doors.
Picking up where tough military-inspired SUVs like the Hummer H3 left off, it's thought the Rezvani will appeal to the brand's US West Coast celebrity fan base.
Controversial rapper Chris Brown was reportedly one of the first owners of the Beast.
Priced at US$178,000 ($A230,000) Rezvani has announced its tough Tank can be reserved for a $US1000 ($A1300). Sales begin later this year.
