Range Rover has confirmed Australian pricing for its first battery-electric model, with the Range Rover Electric landing in local showrooms priced from $317,718 plus on-road costs, positioning it above the six-cylinder diesel and plug-in hybrid grades but below the thunderous V8 petrol flagship.
The local launch follows carsales' international first drive review of the Range Rover Electric, which awarded the newcomer a strong 81 out of 100, praising its serene road manners and surprisingly capable off-road performance.

The Finer Details
Built on the same MLA-Flex architecture as its combustion siblings, the Range Rover Electric pairs a massive 118.5kWh battery with 800-volt electrics and twin 260kW motors, for a combined system output of 404kW and 850Nm.
Range Rover claims a 535km real-world driving range on the WLTP cycle, with peak DC charging capped at 350kW, which is plenty quick.
Three trim grades are offered at launch – HSE, Autobiography and SV – with the range-topping SV asking $417,418 before on-road costs, before further customisation through Range Rover's Bespoke personalisation program pushes things higher still.
Despite the added heft of its 118.5kWh battery, the Range Rover Electric matches the 900mm wading depth of its petrol and diesel counterparts, though braked towing capacity drops to 2500kg. That’s down from 3500kg for the six-cylinder and V8 versions, and 3000kg for the plug-in hybrid.
Australian buyers will also receive one year or 500kWh of complimentary Chargefox public charging, whichever comes first. Given the vehicle has a 100kWh-plus battery, you’ll get around five full charges from the 500kWh bonus.
During carsales' testing at Land Rover's Gaydon proving ground in the United Kingdom, the Range Rover Electric impressed with its hushed on-road refinement and enhanced off-road control compared with the combustion version, a performance that helped it secure that healthy 81/100 rating in the full review.

The Road Ahead
The Range Rover Electric is available to order in Australia now, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in the first quarter of next year. It will soon be joined by a smaller stablemate, with the Range Rover Sport Electric already confirmed for local release after being previewed at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
It will mark Land Rover's second dedicated battery-electric model following a development period that had earlier delayed the flagship Range Rover Electric's own arrival.
