The closest thing we are ever going to see to a born-again Ford Falcon GT-HO was unveiled yesterday at the Geelong All Ford Day.
The Premcar Holy Grail package was unveiled in front of a fanatical Blue Oval throng by former touring car champion John Bowe, Premcar engineering chief Bernie Quinn and AFL football legend – and V8 Falcon owner – Tony Lockett.
Premcar is essentially the engineering group from the old factory-backed Ford Performance Vehicles hot tuner business.

The Holy Grail package brings to life the work they were doing on a GT-HO Phase V that was canned when Ford decided to kill Falcon and close down local manufacturing.
The Holy Grail package works with any supercharged Miami FPV Falcon or the XR8 Sprint. It bumps power to 483kW and torque to 753Nm.
There are 100 Holy Grail engine kits on offer at $24,885 each. The chassis option and exhaust packages add another $19,920.

The car unveiled yesterday was Quinn’s own XR8 Sprint converted to Holy Grail specifications.
Lockett intends to convert his own FPV GT-F to Holy Grail specification.
Watch out for our first drive of the Holy Grail on Friday.
