Renault's Fluence sedan features refreshed styling and improved comfort and convenience features for the new model year.
Starting with the frontal styling, the small sedan can be distinguished from the superseded model by a revised grille and projector beam headlights, set within black bezels. At the rear there's a new chrome garnish too. New alloy wheels measure 16-inch diameter for the Dynamique grade or 17-inch diameter for the Privilege variants.
All models gain a new digital dash and keyless entry/starting, with the entry-level Fluence Dynamique featuring a new design of fabric trim for the seats and a new Arkamys 3D audio system that provides a Bluetooth connection for "selected" mobile phones to stream music.
Trimmed in a higher grade leather trim, the Fluence Privilege steps up to a seven-inch colour touch screen with controls for audio, satellite navigation, communication and vehicle systems. The audio system is supplied by BOSE and comprises a digital amplifier and nine-inch subwoofer. In addition, the Privilege now comes with an electric parking brake, reverse parking sensors and a reversing camera.
The seven exterior colours are carried over, with the exception of Metallic Brown, which replaces Midnight Blue.
Prices remain as they were, effective from June. The entry-level Fluence Dynamique is priced at $23,143 with manual transmission, or $25,143 with the continuously variable transmission. Fluence Privilege, with standard CVT is priced at $30,298.
Renault dealers are already taking orders for the new Fluence.
