Renault Megane facelift due Q2 next year

Updated small car will adopt new corporate look prior to mid 2014
Renault has announced UK pricing for the RHD versions of its facelifted Megane, and the updated model will introduce revised trim levels and lower pricing for diesel versions in that market.
But the changes to the Megane range in Britain won't necessarily flow through to the local market, suggests Emily Fadeyev, Corporate Communications & Sponsorship Manager at Renault Australia. Ms Fadeyev did confirm that the facelifted model will reach us during the second quarter of 2014, but the changes will be primarily cosmetic.
"I believe [the Megane] is being released in Europe early next year, and we're due to get it in Q2 next year," the Renault spokesperson told motoring.com.au earlier in the week. In Britain the distributor has reduced the price of the diesel engine variants by up to £1200, but Ms Fadeyev could not say whether a similar price reduction will eventuate for the Australian-delivered Megane diesels. It seems more likely that pricing will remain close to where it is currently.
"It's aligned to the current range... Exact details, I don't have those at this stage, because it's still about six months [away] for us," she said.
The revised Megane will embrace a new corporate style that has been drafted by former Mazda design chief, Laurens van den Acker.
"It's what we call 'new brand identity', which is the new face that Laurens van den Acker designed," Ms Fadeyev explained. "The first production car in Europe to get it was Twingo and a few others. In terms of first ground-up car, Clio's the first one with that face. It was revealed at the Frankfurt motor show... the new brand identity."
