Renault has announced it will unveil an all-new concept that is claimed will explore "autonomous, electric, connected mobility in the future".
Called the Symbioz, the new concept has been teased by a single pic that gives a glimpse of a stylish coupe-like design.
No details were revealed of the new concept, which is set to be revealed at the Frankfurt motor show on September 12.
Instead, the French car-maker says the car it plans to unveil will engage in a "permanent interaction with its environment, road network infrastructure and the digital lifestyles of its occupants".
The Symbioz name is from the ancient Greek word 'sumbiosos' which means 'living together' -- the added 'z', meanwhile, indicates it is a zero-emission (tailpipe) pure-electric vehicle.
Claimed to an give indication of the next chapter of Renault design, the Symbioz follows on from the dramatic Trezor concept that was unveiled this time last year at the Paris motor show.
Long, wide and standing just 1080mm tall, the coupe concept came with a Formula E-derived electric motor that produced 260kW/380Nm -- enough for a sub-4sec sprint to 100km/h.
That car also came equipped with self-driving tech, but was said to really have been created to debut Renault's new corporate snout that will star on the next all-new Clio supermini.
More teasers are expected of the Symbioz as the German show approaches.
