The first – and likely only – Australian customer to order a Maserati MCXtrema has taken delivery in a special handover at the iconic Italian brand’s Modena factory, with the track-only supercar expected to land Down Under this year. But there’s a good chance you’ll never see it in the flesh.

Set to land Down Under this year, the anonymous Aussie buyer’s MCXtrema could be the only example to ever touch down locally, where the motorsport-inspired supercar can’t be road registered and is restricted only to track use.
Finished in Blu Nobile and Bianco Audace Matte (blue and white), the supercar dons a large white-on-blue Trident on the bonnet.
Underneath, lies Maserati’s F1-developed 3.0-litre twin-turbo ‘Nettuno’ six-cylinder engine, delivering 540kW (or 730hp).

Based on the MC20 road car’s underpinnings, the MCXtrema’s carbon-fibre monocoque chassis tips the scales at just 1300kg (dry).
See our original Maserati MCXtrema story for a full list of highlights.
The track-only MCXtrema debuted at the Monterey Car Week 2023 in California, and first customer deliveries began in August 2024.
Maserati said only a handful of MCXtrema supercars have been delivered to customers, including in the US, UK, France, and Taiwan.

Just how many of us will be lucky enough to see the menacing supercar in the flesh remains a mystery, as the buyer – perhaps very sensibly – wishes to remain anonymous and in which state/territory the MCXtrema will call home, is unknown.
