Reverse kits for Getz et al
Factory reverse sensors for Hyundai modelsHyundai's accessories outfit has released reverse sensor kits for current Getz, Accent, Elantra, Sonata SLX, Tucson and Santa Fe models.
The sensor kits range from $389 for Getz to $520 for Santa Fe, plus fitting. The kits have wiring harnesses tailored for each Hyundai model in order to plug into each car's original factory loom.
The kits have four sensors for the Accent, Elantra, Sonata SLX, Tucson and Santa Fe, and two sensors for the Getz, which are coloured-matched to the rear bumper in which the sensors are mounted. The sensors have three warning tones, a slow repeating 'beep' as the car closes from around 1.5m to 90cm from whatever object is behind it, a faster pulsing beep as it backs up to around 45cm and then a continuous buzz for any closer proximity. The volume of the warning tones is adjustable.
The reverse sensor kits are covered for the five years of Hyundai's new car warranty.
