Reversing camera now standard for Octavia
But Skoda's new safety feature pushes up pricingA rear-view camera is now fitted as standard to all Skoda Octavia variants, barring only the entry-level Octavia Ambition.
But prices have increased for those models boasting the new safety feature. The entry-level Octavia Ambition remains priced at $21,690 for the manual lift-back sedan, $23,990 with DSG option, $23,040 for the manual wagon and $25,340 with DSG.
Octavia Ambition Plus and RS models have risen in price by $300, and the Octavia Elegance comes up $450 for each variant.
Buyers can specify the base-grade Octavia with the reversing camera as part of the Travel Pack option, priced at $1600. Skoda has additionally introduced a new Comfort Pack option for Octavia Elegance and RS models. This pack features electrically adjustable front seats, automatic fold-in door mirrors, and heated front and rear seats. In the case of the Octavia RS variants, the Comfort Pack also brings with it leather seat trim with red stitching. Prices for the Comfort Pack are $1300 for the Octavia Elegance, or $1900 – inclusive of leather trim – for the Octavia RS.
