If one fancies an elevated viewing point while at the polo, then the new Rolls-Royce Cullinan is sure to strike a chord.
The British luxury car-maker has released details of the new tailgate-mounted seats set to feature on its first SUV (HSV, or high-sided vehicle, in company-speak), the Cullinan.
Essentially, they have been conceived to allow owners to watch their kid’s weekend sport, or presumably settle back at the end of a long drive, potentially off-road.
The seats are separated by a small ‘cocktail table' and even have a fancy name: Viewing Suite. Everything is bound in leather, and the pews can be deployed or stowed at the press of a button.
Rolls-Royce says the seats are the first of many more new features yet to be shown for the Cullinan.
The upcoming SUV is the second model to be based on the Rolls-Royce-exclusive spaceframe architecture, which also underpins the eighth-generation Phantom.
First reported in February 2015, the Cullinan is said to offer genuine off-road pretensions mixed with opulent levels of luxury and refinement. Viewing Suite and all.
