Rolls-Royce Dawn is latest fashion victim

Rolls-Royce has shown off a new special edition of its Dawn that's claimed to have been inspired by Spring/Sumer 2017 Couture collection.

Called the Dawn Inspired by Fashion, the Ghost-based convertible's exterior colour and interior has been created by designers that are said to have been "hand-picked" from the world of fashion, fine textiles and luxury accessories.

Together they all collectively settled on borrowing from the 2017 Spring/Summer collection's key colours - Mugello Red, Cobalt Blue and Mandarin.

That's why, inside the opulent convertible's cabin there's splashes of all three hues, from the leather-wrapped steering wheel to the front and rear silk-lined door bins, seat trimming and floor mats with vibrant piping.

Externally, the Dawn is painted in subtle artic white but matched with one of the three vibrant colours.

Rolls-Royce says that its customers can replicate a Dawn Inspired Fashion from November and used the same colour palette and materials used on the show cars.

It's not known how much of a premium the luxury British car-maker will charge over the $749,000 the 420kW/780Nm twin-turbo 6.6-litre V12 convertible costs but it’s expected to be considerable.
