Ford has debuted two new safety packages for its Territory medium SUV.
The packages are available now and are offered on the rear-wheel drive Territory TX and TS models only.
The safety pack available on Territory TX RWD features Dynamic Stability Control, and side curtain airbags and is priced at $1500. Power adjustable pedals are also included. According to Ford the features would cost around $1950 purchased separately.
The TS RWD pack delivers Dynamic Stability Control, power adjustable pedals and a reversing camera for the same $1500 pricetag. This represents a $700 saving says Ford.
According to Ford's General Marketing Manager, Rebecca Martin: "Ford Territory has a renowned safety pedigree and these new safety packages add a comprehensive list of competitively priced features that will further enhance Territory's safety credentials."
According to Ms Martin Territory was the first Australian vehicle to incorporate Dynamic Stability Control and side curtain airbags.
Although Territory sales are down around 17 per cent (YTD October versus same period last year) the Aussie designed and built SUV continues to dominate its segment. The Territory commands almost a third of the Aussie medium SUV market and has sold more YTD than the combined total of the next best sellers, Toyota's Prado and Kluger.
