A WA dealership has leaked the Australian-spec 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe XRT, with the toughened-up large SUV surfacing on social media as the poster child of a September stock clearance sale.
Following the link doesn’t reveal any further details, however a quick look at Hyundai Australia’s Santa Fe configurator reveals the optional XRT makeover is already being offered Down Under in two different versions – XRT Adventure and XRT Peak – and available on every current Santa Fe Hybrid AWD.
Starting with the cheaper of the two packages, the XRT Adventure pack costs $6990 and includes black 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion A/T Plus tyres, a 30mm suspension lift (new springs, dampers, hubs), XRT-branded mud flaps and an underbody skid plate.
The $9990 XRT Peak pack meantime comes with all the same hardware as well as integrated side steps, roof racks and roof platform, bonnet protector and weather shields, all dark-tinted or black.
At this stage there’s no word on if the interior gets any sort of adventure-minded makeover as per the sporty N-Line packages offered on the smaller Tucson and Kona SUVs, however such details’ absence from the configurator would suggest not.
There’s no sign yet of the turbo-petrol Santa Fe variants which will offer a mildly detuned version (206kW/422Nm) of the Sonata N-Line’s 2.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, thankfully paired this time around – Sonata is FWD – with an all-wheel drive system in all but the base model.
It’s unclear at this stage if the XRT packages will be applicable to these variants on account of their more road-focused eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission – the hybrids use a six-speed torque converter – however carsales has it on good authority the packs will be offered on all Santa Fe AWDs, irrespective of the powertrain.
