Schneider Electric has introduced its latest EVlink Home charger that’s specifically designed for easy installation and cost-effective usage.
The ease of installation comes primarily from the EVlink’s integrated RCD-DD protection, meaning it only requires a Type A circuit protector in the distribution board.
This is said to be safer, simpler and cheaper than Type B protection.
Anti-trip functionality is also available to customers via the optional peak controller which scales back the charging power when other major household devices like dishwashers, air-conditioners and pool pumps are in use, thereby reducing the load on the grid and distribution box.

“The EVlink Home has been built with an easy-install process, safety systems and cost-effective charging solution, which means that electricians will be able to support even more homeowners, giving Aussies greater access to sustainable solutions,” said Clipsal by Schneider Electric home and distribution vice-president Chris Kerr.
“As more Australians go electric it’s important that they have access to cost-effective and sustainable charging solutions.”
