SEMA 2015: Chevrolet reveals Camaro Red and Black Accents concepts
US car-maker to show new sport packs for brand-spankers sixth-gen Camaro coupe at custom car showChevrolet has shown off two new special-editions of its recently launched Camaro coupe and convertible.
Dubbed Red Accent and Black Accent, both are based on the Camaro SS.
The new Black Accent is only available as a convertible and comes in silver with red highlights above the front wheel-arches and in the front air intakes, as well as new 20-inch alloy wheels. With a colourful new engine cover, even the engine doesn’t escape the red treatment.
Mechanically the new Black Accent introduces a redesigned air intake, bigger, more powerful Brembo brakes and a lower sports suspension.
The Red Accent comes in ‘Red Hot’ red but with black external highlights and a black engine cover, plus darkened rear taillights. It too receives all the performance enhancements featured in the Black Accent.
It’s not clear if the new special-editions will be offered for sale. The concepts are said to have been created to showcase the extent of all the aftermarket accessories available on the new sixth-generation Camaro.
