Ford has gone all-in for this year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas, unveiling a slew of big pick-up trucks and vans -- and even some hot hatches -- that will be well suited to the extravagant event.
Headlining the Blue Oval’s line-up at the annual trade show is the 2017 F-150 Raptor Pre Runner Concept by Deberti Design. The US-centric model features a carry-over 3.5-litre V6 EcoBoost engine with a K&N cold air-intake and Gibson cat-back exhaust.
The Raptor’s already prodigious off-road ability is bolstered with the addition of new suspension from Foutz Motorsports. The fit-out includes a 3.0-inch lift and sees the wheel fenders stretched by 100mm in order to fit the prototype’s massive 40-inch tyres.
Elsewhere in Ford’s SEMA catalogue is an F-250 Super Duty by Air Design USA offering with a 3.5-inch levelling kit and Bilstein shocks, along with obligatory bonnet scoop, fender flairs and roof pods that are played on by its two-tone colour screen. Twenty-two inch off-road wheels and beefy tyres complete the look.
There’s also an F-250 Super Duty by Fabtech with dual exhaust stakes and an F-250 by TS Designs fitted with a wide body kit. Powering the mud monster is a 6.7-litre Power Stroke diesel engine.
The latest round of concepts preview a busy event for Ford, which already confirmed another four wild F-150 Concepts would debut earlier this month.
If that's not enough, Ford hot hatch lovers will also be well catered for at SEMA this week, via a pair of modified Focus STs from Blood & Grease and Cinemotive Media, plus even hotter Focus RS vehicles modified by Full-Race Motorsports, H&R Special Springs and Roush Performance, and a Fiesta ST modified by Tucci Hot Rods.
