Skoda celebrates its biggest stock injection in two years

Skoda Australia has bolstered its local inventory with an influx of new stock, totalling more than 1000 vehicles and marking the brand’s biggest supply intake since mid-2021.

The 1000-unit shipment specifically comprises more than 300 Kamiqs, 200-plus Kodiaqs, 150 Karoqs, more than 60 Octavia liftbacks, 115 Octavia wagons, over 100 Scalas, about 90 Superbs and 40 Fabias, meaning there’s fresh supply of every Skoda model offered in Australia.

Our new-vehicle delivery wrap last month showed Skoda Australia already has some of the shortest customer wait times of any auto brand, and this fresh stock injection has now slashed them down to nothing, according to national sales and planning manager Kieran Merrigan.

“For the first time in two years this latest intake of Skoda models can finally meet the strong demand in the market for these products,” he said.

“Particularly since we introduced seven-year warranty and with the current offer of seven-year complimentary servicing and seven-year roadside assistance on MY23 Scala, Kamiq and Karoq until June 30, we are seeing a surge of interest in Skodas”.

Skoda also notes that the extra stock provides businesses with an ideal opportunity to snag a new European car before the federal government’s Instant Asset Write-Off tax break effectively ends on June 30.

The VW-owned Czech brand had sold 2466 new vehicles as of April 30 – 400 more than it managed over the same period last year, marking a 19.4 per cent sales improvement – with Australia’s most popular Skoda model being the Kamiq light SUV.
