Skoda has issued a new teaser of the coupe version of the pure-electric Skoda Enyaq iV electric SUV that's set to become the brand's flagship model in Australia.
Announcing that it's answer to the Volkswagen ID.4 and Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron will be unwrapped on January 31, Skoda released a picture of the new Enyaq iV Coupe's silhouette that, despite being darkened, makes it easy to spot the new model's considerably more rakish rear-end styling.
Thanks to its slippery lines, designers say they've managed to shrink the Enyaq coupe's drag coefficient to a Cd of just 0.23 – a number claimed to be best-in-class and one that matches the Tesla Model Y.

As part of the teaser, the Czech brand also released a short video clip of the darkened SUV-coupe that previews its face and grille, which will be lit up by 131 LEDs.
Skoda has already confirmed the Enyaq Coupe should be capable of covering up to 535km between charges – appreciably more than the Q4 e-tron with its biggest battery – in part thanks to its advanced package of wind-bending measures.
Speaking of batteries, the Enyaq Coupe will be available with 62kWh and 82kWh power packs, combined with either a rear- or all-wheel drive.
The model range will comprise the rear-drive Enyaq Coupe iV 60 (132kW) and Enyaq Coupe iV 80 (150kW), while the all-wheel drive Enyaq Coupe iV 80x (195kW) will top the range.
The Enyaq Coupe iV measures 4653mm in length and 1617mm in height, making it 4mm longer and 1mm higher than its SUV sibling. Width (1879mm) and wheelbase (2765mm) is unchanged.
Set for a launch in Europe in the first half of 2022, the Skoda Enyaq is tipped to go on sale in Australia in the second half of next year.
