Skoda rolls out Octavia Special Edition

Run-out model launched to clear stocks ahead of new-generation model in fourth quarter
Skoda has introduced a limited-volume edition of its Octavia, based on the entry-level 90TSI variant.
Priced from $21,990 (including on-road costs), the Octavia Special Edition adds 16-inch alloy wheels and satellite navigation to the entry-level specification. The Special Edition model is also available as a wagon (with driveaway pricing of $23,690). Both cars are fitted with manual transmission for those prices, with a seven-speed DSG transmission also available.
In addition to the alloys and satnav, the Octavia Special Edition also gains a 30gb hard disc for the eight-speaker audio system, dual-zone climate control, auto-on headlights with follow-me home function, a centre rear-seat armrest with additional storage, rain-sensing wipers and, for the wagon only, silver roof rails.
The run-out model goes on sale with effect from June 1, leaving months for Skoda to clear stocks, with the new model due in the final quarter of this year.
