Special edition Falcon utes
Ford is releasing four special edition Falcon utes this month, each with additional featuresThe Special Edition Falcon XR6 Cab Chassis, revealed earlier this year at the 2006 Melbourne Motor Show, is offered for $32,990, while the performance-oriented Falcon XR Magnet Ute offers $3500 in extras above the standard Falcon XR Ute equivalent.
Magnet enhancements include XR sports leather seats, a Momo sports steering wheel, 18-inch alloy wheels and unique 'Magnet' decals. The Magnet is available on the XR6, XR6 Turbo and XR8 Ute, starting at $34,620 for the Falcon XR6 Magnet.
The special edition Falcon Tradesman Ute, derived from the Falcon XL Cab Chassis, offers 'Tradesman' decals and choice of a Ford factory aluminium tray or $1000 cash towards a tray of their choice. Ford says Tradesman Ute has $2840 worth of extra value, starting at $27,450.
The new special edition Falcon SE Ute is based on the Falcon XL Styleside Box and includes sporty one-tonne rated 16-inch alloys, air-con, cruise control and 'SE' decals. In the Barra 190 version, power is supplied by Ford's 4.0 litre DOHC Dual Independent Variable Cam Timing (DIVCT) six-cylinder engine rated at 190kW/383Nm.
The Falcon SE Ute has a recommended offer price of $27,875 and comes with $3700 of extra value specification compared with the XL model.
