Meet what Lexus terms "a bold new face" for the heavy duty LX 570 SUV. The move to the spindle look shared with the GS sedan was an upgrade we first reported three months ago, but the eight-seat SUV is now here, in Lexus showrooms. Changes for the mid-life refresh of the large SUV include new kit at a more competitive price.
Just one variant is available now; priced at $140,900. Lexus claims that price represents a $9000 reduction against the price of the LX 570 Sports the new vehicle replaces (the Sports name is dropped for the trim level). In addition, according to the importer, the new LX 570 offers the following features over and above the specification of the superseded LX 570 Sports: Upgraded Multi-Terrain Select and Display, Revised Crawl Control, Adaptive Variable Suspension, cool-box, dual-screen rear seat entertainment, 20-inch alloy wheels, reversing camera, smart start and entry with Smart key, four-zone air-conditioning, daytime running lamps, 10 airbags, Mark Levinson 19-speaker audio, front and rear parking sensors and Bluetooth connectivity.
Buyers can also order the LX 570 with an enhancement pack for an all-up price of $156,900. This nominally replaces the former LX 570 Sports Luxury, which is also dropped as a distinct variant from the range. Features included in the optional pack are Lexus Pre-Collision safety System, Active Cruise control, rear seat heaters, ventilated front seats, paddle shift and mahogany-look interior trim. Lexus puts the saving at almost $9000, based on the price and specification of the LX 570 equipped with the enhancement pack.
