A sportier Audi A3 S line plus edition has been added to the Australian line up claiming to add up to $11,000 worth of extra equipment to the small sedan, Sportback and Cabriolet.
Available on both the 35 TFSI and 40 TFSI (front-wheel drive and quattro all-wheel drive) models, the S line plus additions do vary on which engine and, even, body style you choose.
The 110kW 35 TFSI S line plus come with the S line bodykit, and 18-inch Dynamic alloys wheels, plus an upgraded MMI infotainment system and Audi's virtual cockpit digital instrument panel.
Safety also improves for the sportiest A3 this side of the S3 and RS 3 models with the addition of Audi side assist – which adds radars in the rear bumper to introduce blind spot detection for safer overtaking.
Choosing the more powerful (and expensive) 140kW 40 TFSI raises standard specification to include full LED headlamps and tail lamps, electric heated front seats, auto folding mirrors and wireless phone charging.
Finally, both the 40 TFSI quattro sedan and Sportback variants come with a panoramic sunroof, 18-inch Audi Sport rims and a flat-bottom steering wheel that looks borrowed from a full-fat RS model.
On sale now, pricing for the A3 35 TFSI begins at $43,400 (before on-roads), while the faster A3 40 TFSI is priced from $49,300.
