SPY PICS: 2024 Jeep Gladiator breaks cover

Hot on the heels of launching the upgraded 2024 Jeep Wrangler at the New York motor show last month, Jeep has left this similarly updated pre-production 2024 Jeep Gladiator fully undisguised for our spy photographers to capture in a US carpark this week.

As with the refreshed off-road SUV, the mild model-year makeover for its pick-up twin – the first update for the JT Gladiator since its global release in 2019 – is headlined on the outside by a smaller version of Jeep’s iconic seven-bar grille (which in this case is all-black), flanked by new indicators on the front fenders, a remodelled front bumper and, at the rear, redesigned tail-lights.

However, unlike its exterior and the 2024 Wrangler, the interior of this 2024 Gladiator was fully covered by Jeep engineers – including the entire dashboard and driver’s seat – suggesting it will bring the same significant cabin upgrade as its wagon sister model.

If that’s the case expect a substantially reworked dash to accommodate a larger 12.3-inch infotainment touch-screen, above small horizontal air-vents to replace the current model’s round ventilation units, plus a repositioned passenger-side grab handle to create a symmetrical horizontal line across the bottom of the dash.

Among a number of expected technical updates, the 2024 Gladiator should bring Jeep’s latest Uconnect 5 multimedia system and could also come with chassis upgrades, but powertrains are likely to remain unchanged – and for Australians that means no option apart from a 3.6-litre petrol V6.

As with the 2024 Wrangler, Jeep Australia is yet to confirm local availability for the 2024 Gladiator, which is currently available here in two variants – Night Eagle and Rubicon – priced from $78,250 plus ORCs.
