SPY PICS: Audi RS6 Avant

There are times when you just want to launch an SAS-style raid on your local Safeway. Get in, get the job done, get out again.

We can't think of a faster means of extraction from the Double Bay DZ than Audi's RS6 Avant.

Pictured here at the Nurburgring, the RS6 Avant wears its dazzle camouflage well. Our famous spy snappers at Carparazzi had already caught the RS6 sedan in action (more here) and have now sprung the Avant (wagon) version too.

As for the sedan, the RS6 Avant will be powered by a turbocharged V10 engine and is identified by the oval pipes in lieu of the four circular pipes of the S6 model.

Audi is expected to have the RS6 Avant and the sedan on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
