The Audi A7 is a like a large luxury liftback car, a rival to the Porsche Panamera if you will. But Audi, being an industrious car maker, is not satisfied until it's filled every possible niche in the range, and we've already spied the up-spec Audi S7 sports model undergoing testing.
What if Audi was planning a full flavoured hot and spicy RS7 model however, the kind of AWD bahnstormer that could give the Porsche Panamera Turbo S and Aston Martin Rapide a scare?
These latest spy photos show what the Carparazzi photographers say is an RS7, and though the S7's quad exhaust pipes are still in evidence, along with much of the ground effects, it is believed to be part of the car's camouflage designed to throw car sleuths off the scent.

Expected to be powered by the same 4.0-litre turbocharged V8 making its way into the S6, S7 and S8 models which is likely to output around 350kW, the RS7 will get an even more powerful iteration of this engine, which will need to eclipse the previous biturbo V10-powered RS6's 426kW of power.
Slotting effortlessly into supercar territory, the Audi RS7 could be looking at a 440kW power output, with an eight-speed automatic a likely partner in crime.
With more power via fewer cylinders, Audi engineers will no doubt be dialling up plenty of turbo boost from the next generation V8 mill, and along with the new layout we can expect a more sonorous exhaust note.
