SPY PICS: Benz E-Class coupe in line for 2013 refresh

Spy shots show new-look front end will spearhead E-Class coupe and sedan facelift for next year
Mercedes-Benz is expected to introduce a revamped E-Class coupe during 2013. It will almost certainly feature a front-end revision that will see the four-headlight look replaced by a neat single-lens layout, with indicator lamps integrated into the upper sections. Full LED lighting is expected to debut as an option.
These Carparazzi spy pics indicate there may be a change in the grille as well, with what appears to be a single-bar layout in place of the current twin-bar arrangement.
The obligatory bumper revisions will be part of the facelift too, although the Darth Vader disguise tends to mask the final shapes. Up back, the same should apply, although the base shape of the taillight clusters does not appear to be in line for any changes except perhaps for the lens design. The chrome trim connecting tail lights above the licence plate appears to be identical in this developmental car.
Major powertrain changes, apart from maybe a power tweak for the twin turbo 4.6-litre V8 is possible. Expect upgrades to the Benz night vision system and suspension as well. Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan models (and wagons) are expected to gain similar upgrades.
As yet there is no indication of when the new E-Class coupe and sedan range will appear, although it seems the Detroit auto show in January is likely.
