BMW is yet to confirm it will introduce a range-topping M6 version of its relatively new 6 Series Gran Coupe, but here are the first spy shots to prove it will.
Pictured here testing in Munich this week with only light camouflage, the first M6 four-door features a more aggressive front bumper with larger lower and side air intakes, larger and wider 20-inch alloys and quad exhaust outlets – instead of dual exhausts as seen on the 640i Gran Coupe released here in July.
Like the M6 Coupe and Convertible due on sale here soon, the hottest Grand Coupe will be powered by a twin-turbo 4.4-litre petrol V8 that directs no less than 412kW/680Nm to its rear wheels.
Effectively a sleek sedan version of the F13 M6 Coupe, the M6 Gran Coupe will be BMW’s first direct rival for the Mercedes-Benz CLS AMG when it goes on sale globally next year.
