Audi will unveil a very mildly facelifted A6 to keep the car up to date for the next three years.
The A6 was introduced in 2005 and the basic design has to carry through until the next major model change in 2011, so this mid-term facelift will introduce a moderately revised style which does away with the registration plate mount in the grille.
Bumpers, angular fog lamps and larger air intakes will be the primary cues to the new design, according to the spy photographers at Carparazzi, who captured this A6 on test during their ski holidays in northern Sweden.
As with the new A4, A5 and the A3 Cabrio (more here), the facelifted A6 will introduce LED day running lights.
