Ford's F-150 workhorse ute is up for a facelift that is expected to bring it closer in appearance to the mighty Super Duty version of the US pick-up truck.
Not expected to go on sale in the US before 2018, this revised F-150 looks to be in line for a new two-bar grille, as well as a set of front-end changes that will make
it easily identifiable as a new model.
Judging by the rear-end cladding, some changes are due for the rear end too, most likely a new design for the tail lights.
Under-the-skin revisions are expected to include a new 10-speed auto gearbox, along with a worked-over EcoBoost petrol V6 delivering more power and greater fuel efficiency.
Automedia says that although the expected hybrid version is not yet in radar range, a V6 turbo-diesel is in the offing and should be part of the facelifted F-150's 2018 launch.
The Ford F-150 is available in Australia through Victorian-based Ford F-Truck importer and conversion specialist Harrison Motoring Group (HMG).
