The rampant bull for those on a budget? Don't know about that, but this Gallardo was a lot quieter than the usual V10 powerhouse, according to the Carparazzi spy guys at the Nurburgring recently.
Visual cues to distinguish the car on test from the standard road car included subtle changes to the front end and a different exhaust.
The Gallardo was running the course in company with an Audi RS4, which is what particularly led the Carparazzi guys to speculate about a V8 fitted to the Lambo.
If the RS4's direct-injection V8 can be squeezed into the Gallardo's engine bay without major modification, it could be the means of offering a Gallardo of a different hue, perhaps a car that compromises more in the name of comfort and touring.
