Perhaps the most intriguing thing about these Carparazzi snaps of a Ford Transit on test in Europe is the work that's been put into attracting attention. Maybe they disguiseth too much.
A very, very close look at the flamboyantly painted, African safari-style Ford van reveals only some super-subtle fiddles with the front end that have resulted in a new bumper (note the join running down from the headlights to the fog lamp aperture) and what looks like a deeper-reaching grille that could be there to direct more airflow into the engine bay.
Does this raise questions concerning a new addition to the powerplant lineup? The Transit is currently available in Australia with just two engines, both four-cylinder turbodiesels with either 2.4-litre or 2.2-litre capacities.
According to Carparazzi, the Transit mini-update is due for a European arrival in the first half of 2009.
