If you happen to be checking out Jaguars next year, look closely at any luxury XJ flagship sedan and you might spot a few minor changes that identify it as the latest, 2015 model.
These spy photos from Automedia show a British-registered masked-up Jag undergoing winter testing in the south European mountains (how non-specific is that?) that indicates only minor external work will take place to the exterior.
While the shaping of the grille, and front and rear lights seem to have emerged unscathed from the styling department, there has definitely been some work on the front bumper area where new (bolder) outboard and centre air intakes appear to be evident.
As for the back end, it is hard to identify/speculate on any stylistic frippery, but it’s a reasonable bet the bumpers will get some sort of refresh as well – even if the tail light lenses on the test mule look to be awfully close to the current model's.
With such minor external changes, the current engine-transmission lineup – which includes, in Australia, 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel and 5.0-litre V8 engines – is expected to continue.
The updated Jaguar is expected to be unveiled in Europe towards the end of 2014 as a 2015 model year car.
