Not since Libby Lenton's wedding, has someone gone to this much trouble to conceal something from the prying eyes and long lenses of those who would make their money from selling pictures to media outlets.
Under the tent it's the Peugeot 3008, a vehicle that is based on the soon-to-be released 308, but with an extra zero in the name -- possibly to denote that it has sliding doors, a la the 1007?
Snapped here by the spy photographers at Carparazzi during a recess for the 'Di and Dodi' coronial inquest, the 3008 is expected to be smaller than Peugeot's other people mover, the 807, and will accommodate seven, as opposed to the eight seats of the large machine. The standard 308 is a full half metre shorter than the 807, but we wouldn't expect the 3008 to be that much shorter than the 807 if it has to feature three rows of seating.
Carparazzi advises that the 3008 will offer buyers both petrol and turbodiesel engines of up to 2.4 litres. The 3008 will likely be well equipped, with tyre pressure sensors, Bluetooth connectivity and dual-zone climate control all on the specification list in one way or another.
