Here's proof Porsche will soon release the first wagon version of its four-door Panamera.
Although it's dropped plenty of hints about further derivatives of its second-generation Panamera, which arrives in Australia early next year, these spy shots from the Nurburgring are the first tangible evidence of the inaugural Panamera wagon.
It's not clear whether the five-door Panamera will be called a shooting brake, or if it will adopt the name of the concept car that previewed it in 2012 – Sport Turismo.
What is certain, however, is that the Panamera wagon will be underpinned by the same flexible new MSB architecture that forms the basis of the MkII Panamera sedan, as well as Bentley's next-gen Continental GT and Flying Spur.
It should also come with the same engines as the new Panamera, meaning turbo-petrol 3.0-litre V6 and 4.0-litre V8 units, plus a 4.0-litre V8 turbo-diesel.
