The new faces keep coming at Volkswagen this week with more images from our colleagues at Carparazzi showing the made-over Tiguan warm weather testing in the European Alps.
Heavily camouflaged, this latest set of photos shows not only a new face -- likely to reflect the family facade now found on Polo, Golf and Transporter -- but for the first time, a new rear end which will most likely be a scaled-down representation of that seen on next year's Touareg. Until now the Tiguan has only been seen with a new front on the existing rear.
These images come just hours after the new Caddy was spied in the same location, it too boasting Volkswagen's new design language, albeit heavily bandaged.
Expected to feature a new grille, headlamps and revised front bumper, the new Tiguan could also receive remoulded front guards, a new bonnet and even LED daytime running lamps. Interesting to note from the pics that the front bumper looks a little shorter and higher than the current one, possibly resulting in an improved approach angle. Engine and transmission options will likely be a facsimile of the current line-up, with a variety of petrol and diesel units certain to be mated to a choice of both manual and DSG (automatic) transmissions.
The 2011 Tiguan is a likely candidate to join the Volkswagen stand at September's Paris Motor Show.
