SPY PICS: Updated Audi A7

Revised Audi A7 spied testing in the snow

Automedia's spy photographers have managed to catch Audi testing its facelifted A7 in the snow.

Although covered in swirly camouflage, the refreshed A7 looks to gain a revised front-end with a new bonnet and front fenders. At the rear, we can see modernised tail-lights and new, rectangular tailpipes. Overall, this brings the design of new A7 closer to the styling of the updated Audi A8 first seen late last year.

We also expect the updated A7 to feature Audi’s new Matrix LED headlights, which will allow for the use of high beams without blinding oncoming drivers, designed to increase the safety of everyone on the road.

As for engine choices, the existing options are expected to carry over from the current Audi A7, but with improvements in both power and economy. This mean the new A7 will house 3.0-litre six-cylinder engines in supercharged petrol, turbo-diesel and top-spec twin-turbo diesel forms.

Expect to see more of the revised A7 in the coming months and a possible release towards the end of 2014.
