Citroen has released a teaser video of its all-new Citroen C5, the flagship sedan that's set to become its most advanced model yet.
To be officially revealed on April 12, from our first glance it looks like the new 2021 Citroen C5 will draw heavy influence from the wild Citroen CXPERIENCE concept that was unveiled back in 2016 at the Paris motor show.
Featuring unusual shooting brake lines, in place of the traditional three-box sedan profile, the Citroen is deliberately different.
Its curvaceous new look also sees the French sedan borrow from the latest pure-electric Citroen C4, with a pair of head- and tail-lights looking like they've been lifted from the small hatch.
The new Citroen C5 also boasts a higher ride height that has been introduced to help it appeal to SUV and crossover buyers.
Beneath the skin the C5 is set to sit on the same EMP2 platform as the latest Peugeot 508, but there's no word on what powertrains the Citroen will get.
Instead of being overtly sporty, the large sedan will major in comfort and new tech.
The lack of a specific mention to 'C5' in the video has also suggested the Citroen might be repositioned as a more expensive model, with the possibility of it adopting the Citroen C6 badge.
There's no word yet on what markets the C5 will be sold, but stay tuned as all will be revealed next week.
